New Modern Bus Stand at Kaithal

Kaithal's new Bus depot

Kaithal faced severe traffic congestion issues for nearly four decades on account of location of the old bus stand in the heart of Kaithal City. This caused regular traffic jams leading to all round inconvenience to public at large besides compromising the safety of women, children, aged persons and people at large with frequent plying of buses and other commercial vehicles.

Pursuant to election of Ch. Shamsher Singh Surjewala as Kaithal MLA in 2005, present Kaithal MLA & Cabinet Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala (who was then the Transport Minister) conceived and constructed an ultramodern 16-bays New Bus Stand outside the City on New By-pass at Kaithal with a cost of Rs.600 lakh.

This Bus Stand was formally inaugurated and dedicated to people by Haryana Chief Minister, Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda in presence of Ch. Shamsher Singh Surjewala and Randeep Singh Surjewala on 18-07-2008.

This ultramodern Bus Stand is now an example to emulate for rest of the State with all modern amenities like kota Stone and marble flooring, granite stone in bath rooms, proper rest areas, adequate parking, abundant open area, parking for 3-wheelers and rickshaws, rest rooms for drivers and other staff etc.
